Artist's Comments
After looking around DA for a while, I noticed that lots of the people I was watching had their own personal sonic-y character, or at least some sort of character that could represent them.
Along with this thought came a concept for a character I thought would be cute: A Sheep in Wolf's Clothing. I couldn't decide whether to have the hood be up or down. I wanted it down to show her sheep features, and I wanted it up because that's the theme of the character. So finally, since this is a concept drawing, I did both! In retrospect, I think I should have had her left cheek showing out the front of the hood... Her personality's a little vague at the moment. Survivalist, I think, with two loves: Weapons and Books. She wants to rescue as many books from the libraries of the ruins of Robotropolis as she can, to preserve them. Only flat colors at the moment. Not sure if I'm going to expand on that or not. Also, I don't know what I'm going to name her. I'm not sure I should use 'Tearra.' Ideas are welcome! Credit should be given: I made use of a Sonic drawing tutorial [link] made by  . |

I think the way you have it, with the inset showing the different look, is a good idea. I also like the thing about the books. That's an original motivator. Her hood clasp is attractive, if you ever do decide to shade and detail this picture, a shine on the clasp would be a great touch.

Thank you so much! I would really love to do that sort of thing for this picture, but I'm really bad at going past base colors. I'll probably try some shadows, and I'll probably twiddle with some various attempts at making the clasp look shiny, but I've never been able to succeed at it before.
Tearra is a cute name. Or, Liani.

Minna no tomodachi, Tetsuwan Atomu!
The black belly against the white belly... it draws the eye, that's for sure. It seems almost like a negative of a character, because usually you see a light belly against a darker body.
Liani's a really pretty name! I'm currently pondering using "Mary" as her name...
